Futuristic Trends in the South East Region July 2005

These workshops were sponsered by Strategic Econmic Solutions and SEACC. A study was undertaken of future statistics and trends which might affect businesses in the South East Region. Collated by Dr Kim Houghton, these findings were presented in a series of 9 seminars throughout the region. The workshops offered the opertunity for people to find out more about their town’s population growth and where the people are coming from. The workshop also explored new trends in consumer behaviour and how do some of the external factors such as energy costs and skill shortages affect the region.

Questions raised at the resentation included:
• Who is in the Region?
• Who is coming to the Region?
• What are they buying?
• How can you reach them?
• What are the new business opportunities?
